Children are the national future, which will be the key factor to the people's quality and social development. The early childhood development will affect the tendency of education, physiology and mental (psychologically) healthy that children become grown-ups. Therefore, caring and building a good child growth environment is social responsibility, which is also the designer deserves to do.
Most of the knowledge and experience in the childhood is through games and entertainments, which is great important in the child’s growth. Outdoor playground equipment in public environment is different from one’s toy, children playground equipment can create a favorable environment for the comprehensive development of children, including the physical environment and psychological environment and entertainment environment. In such an environment is not only robust to children body, also can cultivate children social cognitive ability, and it is beneficial to the formation of children mental health, personality, at the same time also can cultivate children respect for the natural environment.
However, at present, the attention and construction in our country are far from enough. The research on children playground equipment and playgrounds is even weaker.
The Playground is actually a small social network, in which children can get the skills of treating with people at the same time, also learn to exchange and communicate on the team.
So, when we make the design of the outdoor playground equipment, the designer should consider the age and growth of children, and making the playground equipment to play a bigger role in the growth of children.
