Luckily, indoor play spaces abound so when the weather refuses to cooperate, you don’t have to stay locked up at home with a crazed little banshee. And with locations throughout Los Angeles, there’s sure to be a great indoor spot close to home. Memberships are available at some places for frequent players and many also host fabulous birthday parties.
Under the Sea Indoor Playground has multiple locations including Burbank, Beverly Hills, Culver City, Pasadena, Woodland Hill and Manhattan Beach. Ocean murals decorate the walls while kids scamper around bouncy houses, trampolines, jungle gyms, tumbling mats, slides and a baby corner.

Los Angeles
"In the big city of little angels" is the tagline for Little Barn, an indoor play space that offers door to door assistance for those parents who have a little more than two hands can manage. They keep their barn doors open for Open Play Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm and are also available for private parties. Don't forget to check out their special events such as Scruffin Rock group music, or Hip Hop Toddler. ($5 per toddler for Open Play).
Naya’s Garden in Silver Lake also has the essentials--from bouncy houses to ball pits--but kids really love the tree house and sing-a-long drum circle (every Tues. and Thurs, 11:00 am).

West Side
"Hollywood's favorite hotspot" is Giggles N' Hugs, the children's restaurant and play space in Century City. Their doors are open Monday through Thursday, 10:30 am to 8 pm Fridays, 10:30 am to 9:00 pm Saturdays, 10:00 am to 9:00 pm and Sundays, 10:00 am to 7:00 pm Be sure to call in advance because they are available for private parties which vary their weekend hours.
Romp also offers open play Monday through Thursday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm and Fridays from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm They are also available for private parties and dance classes for the little dancers in your family. $15 per kid for open play and $20 per dance class.

Valley
A play space for kids...and adults? The Coop is the place that doesn't sacrifice the sanity and patience of parents for their kids to romp around in a gritty and overly cutesy play space. A cappuccino bar is just one of the perks for adults in this modernized play space. Kids will love the ball pit and luminescent dance floor Monday through Thursday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm and Fridays 10:00 am to 3:00 pm ($9 per kid).
Vibrant play spaces at Kidz Playland will keep your little ones and their friends entertained Monday through Friday 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. You can also book a party with them, or just stay for open play. But make sure to call in advance because open play hours vary for those private parties.
With an environment for the wide range of ages up to 14 years, Jumping Genius has a 5,000 square foot establishment featuring toys and activities for the kids to build their skills including the Dome Climber, Giant Bouncer, Ping Pong, Arcade Basketball, Ball pit and much much more. The geniuses are open Monday through Friday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm for $5 per kid on Mondays and $6 per kid Tuesday through Friday.
Kids in Woodland Hills dig Play Source, a large area chock full of toys, bouncy houses and a rock wall to keep little ones busy.
Are the kids not big enough for the obstacle courses and dance classes?Kuki's Playshop is the perfect place for the little ones ages 4 months to 4 years. Operating Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm they offer open play for $10 per tot and finger painting for $5. Special events and activities are also available so be sure to check out their details.

Pasadena
Amy’s Indoor Playground in South Pasadena boasts 3,000 square feet of fun and includes all the favorites--bouncy houses, ball pits, mazes, a playhouse and a separate play area for babies. Be sure to check their schedule for various treats like dress up day every Tuesday and arts and crafts on Fridays (2:00 pm to 6:00 pm).
Tube crawls, web crawls, barrel rolls and giant slides are just a few of the many feature of Jump 'n Jammin's multilevel play structure. Membership dues and class schedules are not things to worry about at J&J's establishment. hey are open for play Monday through Sunday in Arcadia and Mission Viejo. Who says your kids can't play and learn? Peekaboo Playland is the progressive and artistic indoor play space for your kids' creative energy to flourish and grow. Let your little one explore the boundlessness of their imagination in the 3,300 square feet building, open 10:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday for open play. ($9 per kid). The creative flow of Peekaboo is also available for private parties for all your little artist's friends. They also offer classes and workshops for a more structured approach to the artistic endeavor.
Winner of Red Tricycles Totally Awesome Awards and aptly named, The Awesome Playground offers a vast array of indoor and outdoor fun for the little ones up to 10 years of age, featuring a 60 ft. inflatable obstacle course, a giant slide, an indoor crooked house and a race track for the aspiring Mario Andrettis. Open Play hours are from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday, ($7 per tyke) with a weekly Parent's Night Out on Friday's from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm ($10 per kid). Private parties are hosted on Saturdays and Sundays.

Worth the Drive
Manhattan Beach’s Adventureplex (3 and under $5, 3 and up, $10, rock wall $5 extra) lives up to it name with a ton of energy burners including a basketball court, mazes, tunnels, climbing bouncy houses, gymnastic mats and plenty of playrooms. Plus, every Saturday, older kids can test their skills on the rock climbing wall and open ropes course (11:00 am to 4:00 pm). There’s also a café if you and the kids need to refuel.
And don’t discount shopping malls. Westfield Topanga has a wonderful play area complete with a two story carousel, Westside Pavilion has a space and Beverly Center and Glendale Galleria boast dedicated areas for the kiddos to let loose as well.
