As part of a massive £12m transformation of Haigh Hall and the adjacent woodland park, a new £400,000 adventure play zone has now been completed in this historic and popular place in Wigan.



Designed and installed by Wicksteed Playgrounds, the bespoke, woodland-themed play area features two of their towering Tree Houses – complete with slides – linking a special playground sign welcoming visitors into the land of adventure. Using the very latest technology, a SportACTIV interactive system has been added to the scheme.  This innovative product is solar powered and offers extremely high energy exercise for either individuals or teams of players and the strategically placed satellites create flashes and beeps as the games are played out.

With a huge tactile timber-based Forest unit and a lifesize climbing Rockscape plus specially created mounds and landscaping among some of the elements featured, this part of the park has now been totally transformed and officially welcomed the public this weekend.
